The Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) recently unveiled their second Integrated Annual Report. Brandesign Group, based in Cape Town, were delighted to be awarded this prestigious project on behalf of the CTICC.
The challenge during the conceptual phase was to produce a report that would help position the CTICC as a global contender in the international convention arena. Says Adrian Larkin, director at Brandesign: “We chose to position the CTICC alongside internationally recognised landmarks, using the subtle introduction of illustrations, depicting landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House, the Eiffel Tower and Big Ben. The cover image was the pièce de résistance that saw the CTICC centrally positioned in relation to the iconic Table Mountain.”
In addition to the printed report, Brandesign were also tasked with producing the online version. Says Mike Taberner, director at Brandesign: “We selected a conventional website approach but introduced chapter style pages, allowing the reader to seamlessly navigate each section. The site also includes a fully indexed GRI table, which allows full reader interactivity, as they simply click on the link to navigate from the GRI table into the pertinent section of the report.”
The final piece of the project entailed producing a Prezi format presentation for the CEO – a presentation style that continues to gain momentum as clients seek effective alternatives to the traditional PowerPoint presentation.
Says Adrian Larkin: “Working on a project of this nature is truly an honour and privilege.” Continues Mike Taberner: “We are extremely happy with the end result and would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the CTICC team for their faith in Brandesign.View Online Report
